Free Roku Channels

Did you know that there are free channels available on your Roku device? You need two things to access these channels: a Roku device on your television and an ITC Internet connection. The channels can be added from the Roku main page under Streaming Channels. Many channels play advertisements, and some might require your email address. If prompted to create a password, remember to use one unique to the channel. None of the channels listed here require a credit card or other form of payment for the free content.

Kids Programming

• PBS & PBS Kids – If you have younger kids, this channel has many PBS favorites, including Sesame Street and Curious George.
• HappyKids – This channel advertises itself as a free and safe app designed to educate and entertain kids. It contains the content demanded by younger kids, including Paw Patrol, PJ Masks, Thomas & Friends, and more.

News and Weather

• Haystack News - This news source includes clips from several news stations, including Keloland. It has the same news and weather that is aired on their news programs.
• Weathernation – This is the weather application for your Roku. It contains local forecasts and advisories.
• CBS Sports Stream and Watch Live – The free version of this includes pregame and postgame coverage, sports news, and highlights from a variety of sports.  
• Newsy – Keep up to date with this news channel. It includes a variety of stories and documentaries ranging from politics to technology to sports.

Movies, Series, Original Content

• Roku Channel – The Roku channel includes live TV channels, original series, popular movies, and live news coverage.
• Pluto TV – Pluto includes over 100 live television channels, including newer TV shows and movies. It doesn’t include the latest episodes but does include series and programming from the last few years.
• Tubi – If you are a fan of everything from Westerns to Comedy, this channel contains thousands of hit movies and TV shows for you to watch.  
• Crackle – This channel contains free Hollywood movies and TV series. Drama, action, and thrillers are all available.
• FreeVee from Amazon – This free channel has new releases added every month and, like the others, includes a variety of Hollywood movies, shows, and even exclusive original content.
• Cozy Mysteries – If you are a fan of old black-and-white Agatha Christie-style mysteries, then this is the channel for you.
• Filmzie – This channel has free HD movies and movies created by independent film creators.
• Plex – This channel includes 200 live TV channels and 50,000 on-demand titles from around the world. It includes popular movies, documentaries, family-friendly shows, and much more.
• CBS – This channel includes a combination of paid and free content. The free content is limited but includes full episodes the day after they air on TV.
• NBC – This channel includes a mixture of paid and free content and the ability to watch an entire season of certain shows.
• Comet TV – Science fiction streaming, including old black and white classics and more modern offerings such as Stargate SG-1.

If you already have a Roku unit, this is a great way to add content and start watching movies, TV shows, news, and your other favorite programming for free.
